Engine:
The latest Z1000 has dropped the old 953cc engine and now hauls brand new 1043cc engine that pumps out 136bhp. The current Z1000 get a boost in midrange power thanks to its longer bore by 5.1mm. The 38mm throttle bodies are extended by 2mm and has longer than usual inlet trumpets that further helps boost midrange power. The engine also receives a secondary balance shaft to reduce engine vibes.
The ride may not feel as furious as a liter Yamaha on higher rpm, but the Kawasaki Z1000 is a ride that looks best at mid range from 4500rpm to 10,000rpm. This means the bike is likely to take a wheelie if you become little aggressive with the throttle. Yet many reviewers all around the world feel the lower power isn’t enough for a liter sports naked bike. Fueling is just right and some riders may look for the additional gear after 6th. From 5000rpm onwards the motor turns to be quite buzzy.
