Asus the leading electronic manufacturer of the world, dropped a bomb on 2014 International CES with the Transformer Book Duet: a dual OS tablet by Asus comes with Pre-loaded Windows 8.1 and Android 4.1 Operating Systems.
According to Asus, the new addition to the Transformer line will boast a 13.3-inch 1080p IPS capacitive touchscreen, as well as a 128 gigabyte solid-state drive. A microSD card slot will allow you to expand storage even further, while the keyboard dock will be available with up to 1 terabyte of still more storage.
Connectivity is also much better on the Duet than on a mere tablet. The tablet portion of the Duet has an 802.11ac wireless card, Bluetooth 4.0 with EDR, and a headphone jack. Under the hood, there’s an Intel Core i7 processor and 4 gigabytes of DDR3L 1600 RAM. Though these specs may seem pedestrian for a Windows machine, they makes the Duet hyper-powered for an Android slate.
The tablet in question is listed under multiple model names namely M82T, L82T, and R82T.
This Asus tablet is listed under six other model names, including M80T, L80T, and R80T, which are attached to a Windows-only variant, as well as M81T, L81T, and R81T, which are supposed to be Android-only versions of the device.
We can expect many more such high ended devices by Asus in future.
