BMW S1000RR
Posted on March 21, 2012 | No CommentsThe S1000RR started off life as a super sports bike made solely to compete in the 2009 Superbike World Championship. But the response was so tremendous that BMW decided to go for mass production. The 999cc engine produces 193hp at an insanely high 13000rpm and 112nm at 9750rpm."We intend to take the four Japanese head-on. We did not intend to build a motorcycle like Ducati does or KTM does. We wanted to build a mainstream motorcycle." There were a number who doubted Pieter de Waal, Vice President of BMW Motorrad USA. -
BIKES – Revolution
Posted on January 22, 2012 | No CommentsI am one of the motorcycle lover..!!!! Since there was very few opinions on this subject on the internet (believe it or not) I thought I would write this section and I'll give you my best guess on the motorcycling. The first motorbike was built in 1868. It was not powered by a gasoline engine, but by a steam engine. Its builder was Sylvester Howard Roper. His steam-powered bike was demonstrated at fairs and circuses in the eastern US in 1867 and did not catch on, but it anticipated many modern motorbike features, including the twisting-handgrip throttle control. There is an existing example of a Roper machine, dated 1869.
